From an early age growing up in the aisles at Rathbone’s Flair Flowers he says he has taken to heart the lessons learned from his Grandfather and Mother and Dad the importance of service to others and a strong work ethic.
In 1996 Matt became President of Rathbone’s a 50 year Tulsa tradition, and continued the family tradition of providing beautiful Christmas decorations, collectibles, flowers and gifts. Matt also was co-owner of the Collectors Jubilee, beginning in 1994 the Collectors Jubilee was an annual convention that took place in the Tulsa Expo Center. The Event was attended by 1000’s of Collectors to see artist like Sam Butcher the creator of Precious Moments, Lowell Davis and The Antique Road Show made an appearance.
Matt’s passion to serve others centers from his love and strong faith in God. As a member of Carbondale Assembly of God he has participated with others from Carbondale with extreme makeover projects helping other Churches and Community Centers to spruce up their buildings. His inspiration to live an Others Centered life stems from the author and minister Gayle D. Erwin who wrote the book “The Jesus Style.”
Playing golf and watching football and soccer are some of the activities Matt enjoys. He coached youth soccer for ten years as his three sons grew up. He also served as vice president on a local soccer board for two years. Matt is an avid market trader and enjoys speaking to others about trading in the markets.
Matt’s real estate career began years ago as an investor. He has developed the skill to remodel and renovate homes and with his eye for design, it has aided him with some quick sells in the past.
